Rhubarb salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- water - 1/4 c
- boiling water - 1 c
- strawberry jello
- rhubarb, cut in small pieces - 2 c
- crushed drained pineapple - 2 Tbsp
- walnut meats, chopped - 1/4 c
- small apples, chopped - 2 item
How to make rhubarb salad:
Combine rhubarb, sugar and 1/4 cup water. Bring to rolling boil; reduce heat and simmer for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Let stand, covered, until partially cooled. Dissolve jello in 1 cup boiling water. Stir and blend in rhubarb mixture. Chill until thickened but not set. Fold in the pineapple, apple and nuts. Chill until set.
