Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- ground beef - 1 lb
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- green pepper, chopped - 1 item
- can tomatoes - 1 oz
- cans kidney beans - 2 oz
- small can sliced mushrooms - 1 item
- smoked sausage, sliced - 1 lb
How to make red beans and rice:
Brown sausage; drain. Brown ground beef, onion and green pepper until brown and onion is tender. Add garlic. Add remaining ingredients; simmer, uncovered, until thickened. Serve over hot, fluffy rice.Recipe categories: Pork, Beans, Rice.
