- raisins - 2 c
- unbaked pie shell - 1 item
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 4 item
- stick butter, melted - 1 item
- vinegar - 1 tsp
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- allspice - 1 tsp
How to make raisin pie:
My Mom, Billie Fore, always has a crowd at her house after church on Sunday and she is known for her desserts. This pie is one of my favorites.Place raisins in bottom of pie shell. In a bowl combine sugar with spices and set aside. In a large mixing bowl, beat eggs well. Add sugar mixture gradually and mix well. Blend in melted butter and pour over raisins in pie shell. Bake in a 350° oven for 45 to 60 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between center edge comes out clean. Cool. May be served with whipped topping.
