Raisin crisscross cookies
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- milk - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 1/2 c
- lemon extract - 1/2 tsp
- sifted self-rising flour
- coarsely ground or chopped raisins or nuts - 1/2 c
How to make raisin crisscross cookies:
Mix together first 3 ingredients. Stir in next 2 ingredients. Stir in last 2 ingredients. Roll into balls the size of a small walnut. Place balls, about 3 inches apart, on greased baking sheet. Flatten with a fork, dipped in flour, making a crisscross pattern. Bake 8 to 10 minutes in a moderate oven (350° to 375°), no more.
