Pumpkin pie
Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- firmly packed brown sugar - 3/4 c
- ginger - 1/2 tsp
- cloves - 1/2 tsp
- can evaporated milk - 1 item
- eggs, slightly beaten - 2 item
- pumpkin *
How to make pumpkin pie:
Combine all ingredients. Pour into a 9-inch pie shell. Bake at 425° for 15 minutes, then bake at 350° for 45 minutes.*Please Note: Directions for cooking a pumpkin are as follows: Cut pumpkin in half, pull out seeds and scrape out the strings. Cut pumpkin into several pieces. Put pieces in a colander set inside a large pan. Put water in the pan just to bottom of colander. Cover pan and heat to a boil. Continue cooking, over medium-high heat, for 30 to 40 minutes, until pumpkin is soft. Peel off skin. Put pumpkin through a food mill. Use to make pumpkin pie or bread.
