Pumpkin bread
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 4 item
- salt
- flour
- oil - 1 c
- baking powder - 1/4 tsp
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- each: nutmeg, powdered cloves and cinnamon - 1 tsp
- each: packed brown sugar and granulated sugar
- cooked pumpkin or 1 can pumpkin - 2 c
How to make pumpkin bread:
Sift dry ingredients together. Add sugars. Mix with oil and pumpkin, stirring until well combined with electric mixer (use slow speed). Add eggs, one at a time, blending thoroughly.Pour into 2 greased and floured 9 1/2 x 5 1/4-inch loaf pans. Bake at 350° for 60 minutes or until tester comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes before turning out of pan. Do not open oven door during first 45 minutes of cooking.
