- buttermilk - 3 tsp
- plain flour - 3 c
- Crisco - 3/4 c
- box confectioners sugar - 1 item
- lemon flavoring - 1 tsp
- sticks butter - 2 item
- lemon - 2 tsp
How to make pound cake:
Icing:1 c. Crisco1 tsp. lemon flavoring1 box confectioners sugar milk Grease pan and heat oven to 275°. Mix butter, sugar, eggs and Crisco. Beat until creamed. Add flour 1/3 at a time. Mix well. Cook for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Test for doneness.Cream all ingredients for icing together, adding enough milk to spread the icing easily.
