Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 3 c
  • eggs - 6 item
  • vanilla - 2 Tbsp
  • flour - 3 c
  • butter - 1 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • almond extract - 1 tsp
  • plus 2 Tbsp - 1 c
  • lemon - 1 tsp
  • shakes nutmeg - 3 item

How to make pound cake:

Cream sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time; beat well. Add sour cream. Combine flour and soda; add to creamed mixture. Add extracts. Pour into prepared tube pan. Bake at 325° for 50 to 60 minutes, or until cake tests done. Cool in pan.
