Portuguese soup
Ingredients/Components
- chicken broth - 6 c
- garlic cloves, minced - 2 item
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- green pepper, diced - 1 item
- can kidney beans, drained - 1 1/4
- large carrot, diced - 1 item
- potatoes, peeled and diced - 1 lb
- can chopped tomatoes - 1 1/2
- medium head cabbage, chopped - 1/2 item
- smoked kielbasa, diced - 1 lb
How to make portuguese soup:
Combine all ingredients, bring to boil. Stir occasionally. Reduce heat and simmer until thick, about 2 hours.Works well in crock-pot. Can be prepared 2 days ahead.
