Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1 c
- oil - 1 Tbsp
- large eggs - 2 item
- ground beef - 1 lb
- grated Parmesan - 1/2 c
- pizza sauce - 1 lb
- green pepper, chopped - 1/2 c
- large onion, chopped - 1 item
- grated Mozzarella cheese - 1 pkg
How to make popover pizza:
Brown beef with onion in large skillet, stirring to crumble. Drain. Add pizza sauce. Simmer for 10 minutes. Spoon into greased 13 x 9-inch baking pan. Top with Mozzarella cheese. Place in a 400° oven to keep hot. Prepare batter; beat with mixer, eggs, milk and oil. Add salt and flour. Beat until smooth. Pour over pizza filling; cover filling completely. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake at 400° for 30 minutes until puffed and golden brown.Recipe categories: Main dish, Ground beef, Beef.
