- sugar - 1 item
- vinegar - 1 item
- oil of cloves - 1 item
- cucumbers - 1 item
How to make pickles:
Cut both end off of the cucumbers. Stand up right in gal. containers (may use tupperware cake boxes). Cover completely with vinegar. Let stand 21 days; dump into sink. Wash vinegar off. Slice pickles. Use 2 c. pickles to 1 c. sugar. Add 3 drops oil of cloves. Fill gal. jug. Tighten caps. Ready to eat. Keeps forever.Recipe categories: Low protein, Snacks, Vegetables.
