Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 c
- water - 1 pt
- vinegar - 1 qt
- hot peppers - 1 item
- celery leaves - 1 item
- young okra, uncut - 3 lb
- dill heads, stems or seeds - 1 item
How to make pickled okra:
Pack scrubbed okra into hot, sterilized pint jars with a few celery leaves, 1 clove garlic, 1 hot pepper and 1 head and stem of dill for each jar. Combine water, vinegar and salt; heat to boiling. Pour over okra; seal at once. Let stand 3 to 4 weeks.Recipe categories: American, North american, Kwanzaa.
