Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cider vinegar - 1 qt
- celery seed - 1 Tbsp
- horseradish - 1 Tbsp
- whole cloves - 1 tsp
- mustard seed - 2 Tbsp
- green peppers, chopped - 2 item
- large sweet red pepper, chopped - 1 item
- green tomatoes 10 c - 5 lb
- onions 3 3/4 c - 2 lb
- pickling salt, mixed well with prepared vegetables - 1/2 c
How to make piccalilli:
Mix together green tomatoes, red pepper, green peppers, onions and pickling salt. Cover and let stand overnight. Drain well.
