  • cloves garlic - 2 item
  • pine nuts - 3 Tbsp
  • olive oil - 1 c
  • basil leaves - 2 c
  • grated Romano cheese - 1 c

How to make pesto genovese:

Blend oil, cheese, pine nuts, salt, pepper and garlic in a blender until smooth. To this mixture add the basil and blend until smooth. Freeze in 1/2 cup portions. Note: Only Italian curly-leaf basil should be used. For a less pungent pesto, fresh
