Ingredients/Components

  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • packed brown sugar - 3/4 c
  • flour - 1 c
  • melted butter - 2 Tbsp
  • margarine, softened - 1/2 c
  • finely chopped pecans - 3/4 c
  • egg, beaten - 1 item
  • cream cheese, softened - 3 oz

How to make pecan tarts:

Combine margarine, cream cheese and flour in bowl; mix well. Chill in refrigerator. Shape into small balls. Press into miniature muffin cups. Mix remaining ingredients in bowl. Place 1 teaspoon in each prepared muffin cup. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Remove to wire rack to cool. Freeze if desired. Yields 2 dozen.
