Ingredients/Components
- egg whites - 4 item
- vanilla flavoring - 1 tsp
- almond flavoring - 1 tsp
- sugar - 1 c
- crumbled round-type crackers - 1 c
- pecan pieces - 1 c
How to make pecan pie:
Beat egg whites to which flavoring has been added. Slowly add sugar. Beat until stiff. Combine cracker crumbs and pecans. Fold into stiffly beaten egg whites. Pour into a lightly greased 9-inch pastry pan. Bake in a preheated 300° oven for 45 minutes. Makes 8 servings.Note: We like it served with a scoop of frozen vanilla yogurt.
