Peanut butter oatmeal cookies
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- granulated sugar - 1 item
- water - 1/2 c
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- all-purpose flour
- peanut butter - 1 c
- brown sugar, packed
- butter flavor Crisco - 3/4 c
- Quaker oats quick or old fashioned, uncooked - 3 c
How to make peanut butter oatmeal cookies:
Beat first 3 ingredients until creamy. Beat in water, egg and vanilla. Add combined dry ingredients; mix well. Cover, chill about 2 hours. Heat oven to 350°. Shape into 1-inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and flatten with tines of fork dipped in granulated sugar to form crisscross pattern. Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack. Cool completely. Store tightly covered. Makes about 7 dozen.Recipe categories: Desserts, Drop cookies, Cookie and brownie.
