Ingredients/Components

  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk
  • butter or margarine - 1/2 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • baking powder - 2 tsp
  • sifted flour
  • chopped peanuts - 1 c
  • light brown sugar
  • honey - 3 Tbsp
  • light brown sugar, packed
  • creamy peanut butter - 1/2 c
  • eggs room temperature - 2 item
  • butter/oleo

How to make peanut butter brownies:

Topping:3/4 c. light brown sugar4 1/2 Tbsp. butter/oleo3 Tbsp. honey1 1/2 Tbsp. milk1/2 c. chopped peanuts Sift together first 3 ingredients. In medium bowl, cream peanut butter and butter thoroughly. Add brown sugar and vanilla. Beat until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time. Beat well after each addition. Add dry ingredients, stirring to blend well. Fold in peanuts. Spread in greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes or until done. Cool to lukewarm.

Topping: Combine sugar, butter, honey and milk in small saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cook slowly for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in peanuts. Spread over lukewarm brownies. Cool and cut into squares.
