  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • pkg - 2 3/4
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • margarine - 1/2 c
  • peanut butter - 1/4 c
  • brown sugar, packed - 1/2 c
  • sifted all-purpose flour

How to make peanut butter blossoms:

Cream together margarine, peanut butter and sugars until thoroughly blended. Add egg and vanilla; beat well. Sift together flour, soda and salt. Blend into creamed mixture. Shape scant teaspoonfuls of dough into balls; roll each in sugar and place on a greased cookie sheet. Bake in oven at 350° for 8 to 10 minutes. Remove from oven. Top each cookie with chocolate kiss, pressing down until cookie cracks around edge. Bake 3 to 5 minutes more. Makes about 6 dozen.
