Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2/3 c
  • cinnamon - 1/4 tsp
  • butter or margarine - 1/4 c
  • flour - 3 Tbsp
  • cream of tartar - 1/2 tsp
  • lemon juice - 1 tsp
  • to 8 peaches, sliced - 7 item
  • butter or cinnamon - 1 Tbsp

How to make peach pie:

Topping:1 c. flour a little more than 1/4 c. sugar1/4 c. butter or margarine1/2 tsp. cream of tartar Topping: Mix all ingredients together to form crumbs; set aside.

Heat oven to 400°. Prepare one pie crust. Mix peaches and lemon juice. Mix together sugar, flour and cinnamon; stir onto peaches. Turn into pastry-lined pie plate. Dot with margarine or butter. Cover with crumb topping. Bake 40 to 45 minutes.

Canned Peaches: Substitute 2 (29 ounce) cans of sliced peaches, drained, and decrease sugar to 1/3 cup.
