Peach cobbler
Ingredients/Components
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- water - 2 c
- stick butter - 1/4 item
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- sliced peaches - 1/2 gal
- sugar or sweetener to taste
- Cook until peaches are tender
How to make peach cobbler:
Add peaches to 2 cups water. Cook until peaches are tender. Add sugar and stir to dissolve sugar. Mix cornstarch and 1/4 cup water. Dip peaches out of juice and put in pan. Add cornstarch and water to juice. Cook until it begins to thicken. Pour over peaches and add butter.Crust:2 1/2 c. self-rising flour1/2 c. Crisco1/2 c. water Mix flour and Crisco. Add water to make firm dough. Roll out thin. Cut in strips and cover pie lattice style. Bake at 425° until golden brown.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cobblers and crisps, Peaches.
