Papaya salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- garlic cloves, minced - 3 item
- tomato, thinly sliced - 1 item
- patis - 2 Tbsp
- green papayas, shredded - 2 item
- fresh, red chilies, finely chopped - 3 item
- dried shrimp presoaked in water, pureed in blender - 1/2 c
- tamarind or juice of 3 limes - 1 Tbsp
- kale or lettuce - 1/2 lb
How to make papaya salad:
Squeeze the juice from tamarind that has been soaked in water. In a bowl, mix all ingredients except kale or lettuce until well blended. Spoon the papaya salad on a serving platter. Arrange kale or lettuce on one side of the platter. To serve, spoon papaya salad on kale or lettuce leaf and wrap taco style. Eat with fingers.Recipe categories: Salads, Tropical fruits, Papaya.
