Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 Tbsp
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- oil - 1 Tbsp
- can tomato sauce - 3 oz
- oregano - 1 tsp
- plus 1 tsp - 1 Tbsp
- garlic cloves, minced - 3 item
- bay leaves - 2 item
- can tomatoes - 1 oz
- cumin - 1/2 tsp
- ground chuck - 2 lb
- coarse pepper - 1/2 tsp
- monosodium glutamate - 1 Tbsp
- whole allspice - 6 item
- can kidney beans undrained - 1 oz
- can pinto beans undrained - 1 oz
- stalks celery, cut fine - 3 item
- small can green chili peppers - 1 item
- large onions, cut fine - 2 item
How to make texas chili:
Brown meat in oil. Saute garlic, celery and onions with beef for 10 minutes. Add tomatoes, sauce, spices, seasonings, monosodium glutamate, chili peppers, sugar and beans. Bring to boil. Reduce heat; simmer 1 to 1 1/2 hours.Recipe categories: Main dish, Beef, Chili.
