Overnight coleslaw
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- vegetable oil - 3/4 c
- vinegar - 1 c
- dry mustard - 1 tsp
- celery seed - 1 tsp
- green pepper, chopped - 1 item
- carrots, shredded - 2 item
- medium red onion, chopped - 1 item
- shredded cabbage medium head - 12 c
How to make overnight coleslaw:
Dressing:2 tsp. sugar1 tsp. dry mustard1 tsp. celery seed1 tsp. salt1 c. vinegar3/4 c. vegetable oil In a large bowl, combine first four ingredients. Sprinkle with sugar and set aside.In a saucepan, combine dressing ingredients. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and pour over vegetables, stirring to cover evenly. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Stir well before serving. Makes 12 to 16 servings.
