Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • sliced almonds - 1 pkg
  • rice vinegar - 1/3 c
  • head cabbage, chopped - 1 item
  • sesame seeds, toasted - 1 pkg
  • Accent optional - 1 Tbsp
  • to 3 green onions - 2 item
  • Ramen noodles, crushed, not cooked - 2 pkg
  • fried and chopped chicken breast - 1 item
  • Crush noodles in bags do not use seasoning packet

How to make oriental salad:

Mix together sesame seeds and almonds on a cookie sheet and bake in moderate oven 5 to 10 minutes until browned. Crush noodles in bags (do not use seasoning packet). Mix rest of ingredients with cabbage and onions. Pour salad dressing over all and mix. Let stand at least one hour. Best if it sets overnight in refrigerator.Salad Dressing:1/2 c. salad oil1/3 c. rice vinegar1/2 tsp. salt1 Tbsp. Accent (optional) Serve salad with additional rice vinegar.
