- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 4 item
- chopped nuts - 2 c
- butter - 1 c
- coconut - 1 c
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- self-rising flour
- grated orange peel - 1 Tbsp
- orange juice
- dates, diced - 1/2 c
- orange slice candy, cut into small pieces - 1 lb
How to make orange slice cake:
Glaze:1 c. orange juice1/2 c. sugar Mix together butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat. Stir in flour, mixing well. Add buttermilk and grated orange peel. Add nuts, orange slices, coconut and dates. Bake at 225° for approximately 2 to 3 hours. In small pan, bring orange juice and 1/2 cup sugar to a boil. Pour over cake.
