Orange drop cookies

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 3/4 c
• salt - 1/2 tsp
• flour - 2 c
• baking powder - 1/2 tsp
• baking soda - 1/2 tsp
• egg - 1 item
• shortening - 2/3 c
• sifted powdered sugar
• orange juice - 1/2 c
• grated orange rind - 2 Tbsp

How to make orange drop cookies:

Icing:1 c. sifted powdered sugar1/4 tsp. salt1 1/2 Tbsp. orange juice2 tsp. grated orange rind Heat oven to 375°. Mix shortening, sugar and egg thoroughly. Stir in orange juice and rind. Measure flour by sifting. Stir all dry ingredients; blend into mixture. Drop by tablespoon on greased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes.

Mix ingredients for icing and frost cooled cookies.
