Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- orange juice - 1/2 c
- heavy whipping cream - 1/2 pt
- angel food cake - 1 item
- rind of 1 orange, grated
How to make orange cream pie:
Mix in saucepan the sugar and flour. Add orange and lemon juices, orange rind, beaten egg and butter. Cook until thick, stirring constantly; chill thoroughly. Add 1/2 pint heavy cream, whipped. Slit angel food cake into 3 layers. Top each slice withRecipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
