Okra creole
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- medium onion - 1 item
- bell pepper - 1 item
- sweet basil - 1/2 tsp
- slices bacon - 2 item
- canned - 2 tomatoes
- approximately 12 okra pods
How to make okra creole:
Chop bacon and fry until crisp. Remove from drippings. Chop onion and pepper and cut okra into 1-inch pieces. Add to bacon drippings and stir-fry until onion is transparent. Add seasonings and tomatoes and cook about 5 minutes longer.Recipe categories: Side dish, Vegetables, Main dish.
