  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • medium onion - 1 item
  • bell pepper - 1 item
  • sweet basil - 1/2 tsp
  • slices bacon - 2 item
  • canned - 2 tomatoes
  • approximately 12 okra pods

How to make okra creole:

Chop bacon and fry until crisp. Remove from drippings. Chop onion and pepper and cut okra into 1-inch pieces. Add to bacon drippings and stir-fry until onion is transparent. Add seasonings and tomatoes and cook about 5 minutes longer.
