Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- brown sugar - 1 c
- butter - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- all-purpose flour
- white sugar - 1 c
- quick oats - 3 c
- walnuts - 1/2 c
- dates optional - 1 c
How to make oatmeal crispies:
Cream together butter and sugars. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Sift together the flour, salt and soda. Stir into creamed mixture. Stir in oats, dates and nuts. Form into small balls. Place about 1 1/2-inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350° about 10 minutes or until lightly brown. Cool slightly before removing to cooling rack.
