Oatmeal crispies
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- granulated sugar - 1 c
- butter or margarine - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- brown sugar - 1 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- all-purpose flour
- chopped pecans or walnuts - 1 c
- uncooked oatmeal - 3 c
How to make oatmeal crispies:
Cream butter well; add both sugars gradually and beat for 1 minute. Add eggs and vanilla and beat for 2 minutes. In a separate bowl, mix flour, salt, baking soda, oatmeal and nutmeats. Add dry ingredients to the creamed mixture and mix until well blended.On sheets of waxed paper, form rolls 1 1/2 inches in diameter and roll waxed paper to enclose. Refrigerate several hours until firm. When cold, cut cookies 1/4-inch thick and place on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 350° for about 12 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from baking sheet while still warm. Excellent!
