Ingredients/Components

  • sugar
  • shortening - 3/4 c
  • cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
  • allspice - 1/2 tsp
  • eggs, well beaten - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1/2 tsp
  • hot water - 1/2 c
  • soda - 1/2 tsp
  • oats, not cooked - 2 c
  • all-purpose flour - 2 c
  • seedless raisins - 1 c
  • salt - 1 tsp

How to make oatmeal cookies:

Cream the sugar and shortening together. Add eggs, spice, soda, raisins, water, vanilla and oats to flour. Mix well. Drop by spoonful on greased cookie sheet and bake at 375° until done.
