Oatmeal cookies
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- granulated sugar - 1/2 c
- packed brown sugar - 3/4 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- all-purpose flour
- salt optional - 1 tsp
- nutmeg optional - 1/4 tsp
- Quaker oats uncooked - 3 c
- cinnamon optional - 1 tsp
- oleo 2 1/2 sticks
How to make oatmeal cookies:
Beat oleo and sugar until fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Add combined flour, baking soda, salt and spices. Mix well. Stir in oats and pecans. Drop by tablespoonfuls on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 375° for 8 to 9 minutes for chewy, 10 to 11 minutes for crisp. Makes 4 1/2 dozen.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cookie and brownie, Hand Formed cookies.
