- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour
- stick margarine - 1 item
- brown sugar - 1 c
- coconut - 1/2 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- boiling water
- margarine - 6 Tbsp
- white sugar - 1 c
- quick oats - 1 c
- condensed milk - 1/4 c
- Cream sugars and margarine
How to make oatmeal cake:
Stir together oats and water; set aside. Cream sugars and margarine. Add eggs and beat until fluffy. Sift together dry ingredients and add. Add vanilla and oats mixture. Bake in 13 x 9-inch pan or sheet pan at 350° until it tests done.Topping:1 c. brown sugar6 Tbsp. margarine1/2 c. coconut1/4 c. condensed milk1/2 c. chopped nuts Mix together over low heat until melted.
