- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 1 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- coconut - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- boiling water
- oatmeal - 1 c
- white sugar - 1 c
- canned milk - 1/2 c
- pecan pieces - 1/2 c
- Icing:1 stick butter
How to make oatmeal cake:
Icing:1 stick butter1 c. brown sugar1/2 c. canned milk1 tsp. vanilla1 c. coconut1/2 c. pecan pieces Pour boiling water over the oatmeal; let stand 20 minutes. Cream the butter and sugars. Add eggs, flour, cinnamon, soda, salt and vanilla. Add oatmeal. Bake 30 minutes at 350°.Icing: Boil the butter, sugar, milk and vanilla a few minutes. Add coconut and pecan pieces. Ice while cake is hot.
