  • sugar - 1 c
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour
  • stick margarine - 1 item
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • boiling water
  • quick oats - 1 c

How to make oatmeal cake:

Pour boiling water over oats and let stand 1/2 hour. Cream margarine. Add salt, sugars and vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time. Add dry ingredients alternately with oatmeal mixture. Bake 50 minutes in a 350° oven. Use a 9 x 13-inch pan. Dust with confectioners sugar when cool.
