Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- stick margarine - 1 item
- brown sugar - 1 c
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- boiling water
- quick oats - 1 c
How to make oatmeal cake:
Pour boiling water over oats and let stand 1/2 hour. Cream margarine. Add salt, sugars and vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time. Add dry ingredients alternately with oatmeal mixture. Bake 50 minutes in a 350° oven. Use a 9 x 13-inch pan. Dust with confectioners sugar when cool.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Lunch/snacks.
