No-knead dinner rolls
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 4 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- vegetable oil - 1/4 c
- warm water - 1 c
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- or packet dry yeast - 1 Tbsp
How to make no-knead dinner rolls:
Pour the water into a mixing bowl. Add the sugar and yeast; dissolve. Beat in the egg and vegetable oil. Add the flour and salt. With a large spoon, beat this spongy dough until it is elastic and smooth. Cover it with a damp towel or plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour.Drop the dough into a greased muffin tin, filling each cup 1/2 full. There should be enough dough to fill 12 large or 18 medium cups. Cover loosely with greased plastic wrap. Let rise again, until almost doubled, 30 to 40 minutes.
Preheat oven to 400°. Bake rolls 18 to 20 minutes or until they are golden brown. When done, remove from muffin tin and cool.
