Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 2 c
  • flour - 1/2 pt
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • cold water - 4 qt
  • vinegar - 8 c
  • dry mustard
  • celery seed - 1 Tbsp
  • turmeric - 1 Tbsp
  • sliced green tomatoes - 1 qt
  • small cucumbers or sliced large ones - 1 qt
  • small white button onions - 1 qt
  • large cauliflower, cut small - 1 item
  • sweet green peppers, sliced fine - 4 item

How to make mustard pickles:

In sterile jars, pack with onions, cut into chunks. Add 1 part vinegar to 1 part water. Can add other vegetables such as hot peppers, green peppers, carrots (cut in chunks), celery, etc. Store in refrigerator.
