  • sugar - 1 c
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • baking soda - 2 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • molasses - 1/4 c
  • cooking oil - 3/4 c
  • flour, sifted - 2 c
  • cloves - 1/2 tsp

How to make molasses sugar cookies:

Add sugar, molasses and egg to oil and beat well. Sift dry ingredients together. Add to first mixture and mix well. Chill several hours. Form 1-inch balls; roll in sugar and place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for 8 to 10 minutes. Yields 4 to 5 dozen.
