Molasses cookies

Ingredients/Components

• sugar
• cinnamon - 2 tsp
• salt - 1 tsp
• flour - 4 c
• soda - 4 tsp
• eggs, beaten - 2 item
• shortening - 1 c
• molasses - 1 c
• ginger - 1 tsp
• raisins - 1/2 3/4

How to make molasses cookies:

Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs and molasses. Sift flour with spices; add to sugar mixture. Mix in raisins. Drop by teaspoonful (about the size of a walnut). Bake for 10 minutes at 375°. Do not overbake.
