  • sugar - 2 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 1 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • oil - 1 c
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • baking soda - 2 tsp
  • all-purpose flour - 2 c
  • unsweetened cocoa - 3/4 c
  • hot coffee - 1 c

How to make moist chocolate cake:

Sift together dry ingredients in a mixing bowl. Add oil, coffee and milk; mix at medium speed for 2 minutes. Add eggs and vanilla and beat two more minutes. (Batter will be thin.) Pour into two greased and floured 9 x 1 1/2-inch cake pans. Bake at 325° for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool cakes for 15 minutes before removing from pans. Cool on wire racks.
