Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 4 item
- sticks oleo - 2 item
- cocoa - 3 Tbsp
- flour
- baking powder
- chopped nuts - 2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- marshmallows - 1 pkg
- stick oleo - 1 item
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
How to make mississippi mud cake:
Icing:3 Tbsp. cocoa1 stick oleo1 box powdered sugar Melt oleo and cocoa. Beat sugar and eggs well. Add oleo and cocoa. Mix; add flour, baking powder, vanilla, then nuts. Line pan with foil; butter foil well. Bake in pan not smaller than a 9 x 13-inch; larger is better. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes (if oven cooks fast, 325°). Cut large marshmallows in half with damp scissors (or use miniature marshmallows). When cake is done, place marshmallows with cut side on cake while hot. Lift cake out of pan with foil and place on board or tray.For icing, melt cocoa and oleo; add powdered sugar and enough milk so it will pour over cake. Mix well and pour over cake while cake is hot.
