Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 c
  • eggs - 4 item
  • vanilla - 2 tsp
  • flour
  • semi-sweet chocolate chips - 6 oz
  • evaporated milk - 1 c
  • soda - 1/2 tsp
  • buttermilk - 1 c
  • stick butter - 1 item
  • sticks butter or oleo - 2 item
  • marshmallow cream - 1 c
  • chopped pecans if desired - 1 c
  • Milky Way bars - 5 item

How to make milky way cake:

Icing:2 1/2 c. sugar1 c. evaporated milk6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips1 c. marshmallow cream1 stick butter Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Melt Milky Way bars and add to mixture. Mix separately soda with buttermilk and the flour. Fold flour mixture alternately with the candy mixture. Add vanilla and nuts. Bake in greased 10-inch stem pan at 325° for 90 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

Icing: Combine sugar and milk. Cook until soft ball stage. Add chips, butter and marshmallow cream. Stir until melted. Cool slightly and spread on cake.
