Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • chopped pecans - 1 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • eggs, beaten - 2 item
  • sifted flour
  • raisins optional - 1 item
  • Crisco - 1 c
  • cinnamon to taste - 1 item
  • oatmeal 1 c - 2 c

How to make oatmeal cookies:

Cream shortening and sugars; add eggs. Mix all dry ingredients together, then add to sugar mixture. Add vanilla and cinnamon, along with nuts or raisins. Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350° about 12 to 15 minutes or until brown.
