Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1 tsp
  • chili powder - 1 Tbsp
  • salsa - 1 c
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • medium onion - 1 item
  • corn tortillas - 12 item
  • cumin - 1 tsp
  • can green chilies - 4 oz
  • cooked pinto beans - 2 c
  • sprinkle of garlic powder - 1 item
  • Colby cheese, grated - 1/2 lb

How to make mexican casserole:

Spray each tortilla with Pam and warm in microwave. Brown beef and add onion, chilies, garlic, chili powder, cumin and salt. Mix salsa and beans. Layer softened tortillas in 9 x 13-inch dish with meat, bean mixture and top with cheese. Bake in 400° oven until cheese melts. Serve with avocado salad or other favorite dish.
