Ingredients/Components
- beaten egg - 1 item
- corn flakes - 1 c
- ground beef - 1 lb
- tomato juice - 1 c
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- slices bacon - 2 item
- ground pork - 1/2 lb
- seasoning to taste - 1 item
- bread crumbs, softened in 1 c - 1 c
How to make meat loaf:
Mix the ingredients. Form into a loaf. Place in pan and top with bacon slices. Pour extra cup of tomato juice over top. Bake at 350° for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.Note: For Creole sauce, remove loaf to platter and add fresh or frozen peas to the sauce and cook until tender. Yields 6 to 8 servings.
