Macaroni and cheese
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- evaporated milk - 1/2 c
- water - 3 qt
- margarine - 1 tsp
- uncooked macaroni - 8 oz
- light pasteurized process cheese spread, cubed - 12 oz
How to make macaroni and cheese:
Bring water, salt and 1 teaspoon margarine to a boil ina blancher. Add macaroni and cook 7 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally. While macaroni is cooking, melt the 1/4 cup margarine in a 2-quart microwave-safe dish in the microwave on High for 30 seconds. Add cheese and milk and cook on Medium-high for 2 minutes and stir. Cook 2 to 3 minutes longer, until cheese is melted. Stir well until blended. Drain macaroni well and add to cheese and mix well. Serves 8.Recipe categories: Cheese, Pasta, Elbow macaroni.
