Luscious lemon poke cake
Ingredients/Components
- boiling water - 2 c
- cold milk
- powdered sugar optional - 1/4 c
- Cool Whip, thawed - 8 oz
- lemon jello - 1 or
- 9 x 13-inch baked white cake - 1 item
- small lemon jello instant - 1 pkg
How to make luscious lemon poke cake:
Frosting:1 c. cold milk1 pkg. small lemon jello (instant)1/4 c. powdered sugar (optional)8 oz. Cool Whip, thawed Add jello to milk in large bowl. Add powdered sugar. Beat 2 minutes. Fold in thawed Cool Whip.Pierce cake with large fork at 1/2-inch intervals. Stir boiling water into gelatin in medium bowl 2 minutes. Carefully pour over cake. Refrigerate 3 hours. Dip pan in water for 10 seconds. Unmold onto serving plate. Spread with frosting. Refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving. Keep refrigerated.
