Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- water - 1/2 c
- lemon juice - 1/4 c
- grated lemon rind - 1 Tbsp
- egg, beaten - 1 item
How to make lemon filling:
Mix first 4 ingredients together; bring to boiling. Stir constantly. Boil 2 minutes. Stir some mixture into egg; return egg to hot mixture. Cook 3 minutes. Stir in rind, butter and juice. Cool. Fills 2 layers.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Cake fillings and frostings.
