Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
- almond extract - 1/4 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- melted butter - 1/3 c
- chopped walnuts - 1/2 c
- fresh lemon juice - 3 Tbsp
- grated lemon peel - 1 Tbsp
How to make lemon bread:
Combine all ingredients except 1/2 cup sugar and the lemon juice. Pour into loaf pan. Bake at 325° for 70 minutes. Mix lemon juice and 1/4 cup sugar; spoon over hot loaf. Cool 10 minutes and remove from pan.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, Oven.
